Celebrating Juneteenth at The Weingart Mayfair
On June 19th, we celebrated Juneteenth at The Weingart Mayfair — one of Weingart Center’s interim housing developments — with a day of celebration, reflection, and community. I was proud to join Congresswoman Maxine Waters, State Representative Justine Jones, and dozens of residents, staff, and neighbors for a meaningful afternoon.
We heard powerful words and performances from local artists, including singer Subrina Muller, Estella the Poet, and Darul Darden.
