I joined the Weingart Center’s Board of Directors in 2010, becoming Interim President in 2011. In 2013, I was honored to accept the position of President and CEO of the Weingart Center.

The Weingart Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to ending homelessness and providing comprehensive services to those experiencing homelessness in the Los Angeles area. Located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles’ Skid Row, the Weingart Center has been helping the community since 1983.

Our mission is to empower and transform lives by delivering innovative solutions to break the cycle of homelessness.

The Weingart Center offers various programs and services inside the agency's historic 11-story building, formerly the El Rey Hotel.

We provide free or low-cost on-site programs and services, including but not limited to transitional and interim residential housing, substance abuse treatment and recovery, medical and mental healthcare, job training and placement, education, long-term case management, and help to secure permanent supportive housing.

The Weingart Center has tailored programs for women, seniors, senior Veterans, parolees, and individuals needing help finding permanent housing.
